Excellent news! Editors who retain deadnames in articles are violating Wikipedia’s Gender Identity guidelines, at least implicitly. You are fully empowered to, and absolutely should, remove any deadname you find on Wikipedia. Editors who tell you otherwise are simply incorrect, and you should refer them to the relevant entry in the Wikipedia Manual of Style.
So, as you might’ve noticed, I’ve been having computer trouble for a while – I had to stop my writing streams because of it, and it’s been getting worse and worse until Thursday, when my laptop completely shat the bed and died. A dear dear friend has offered to build me a new computer, but I have to pay for the parts – a total that comes to $877.07
Now, what some of you might not know is that I’m disabled and on a fixed income, and if I only pay rent and don’t pay any of my other bills whatsoever, I could save the money up that way, and it would still take me until April – I’m sure all of you understand why that’s not actually a viable option.
So I’m asking for help.

I’ll also make hats and cowls at $30(USD) each, or $40(USD) for a set, but as I will be using yarn I already have, the colors are a toss up – I can keep in mind any color preferences you might have, but again, I am only working through what I already have in stock. I work primarily in acrylic and acrylic/wool blends, and I live in a house with three cats, so please keep these things in mind if you’re going to go this route. if it helps in your choice any, I have 25 years of crocheting experience behind me.

We’ve still got a bit to go, but since posting the call for help, so many people have come forward with kind words and ko-fi things and I just – A little bit of faith in humanity restored, you know? I am so, so endlessly thankful to you all, and so proud to be part of a community who is this kind and generous.
In the spirit of keeping things as transparent as I possibly can, I made a spread sheet – it doesn’t say who gave how much or anything, these are just the numbers in relation to the goal. For anyone concerned about any veracity concerns? I was there when the laptop fucked itself. I still don’t know how it did, but I have it home with me right now. It boots again now, but it still has a whole host of other problems, like the fact that the bios is turbofucked and I can’t get into it. I’ve tricked it into picking a boot drive by *strategically removing hard drives.* That’s how I get it to boot into a usb environment, and that’s how I made it boot onto a new ssd before that FRIED ITSELF. fucker. And has been having problems for over a year now. New computer is the best option, and at least *this* option? Can be upgraded. (And yes for anyone wondering, I DO feel responsible for this mess. It’s not my fault, but I bear responsibility all the same. It doesn’t have to be one’s fault to be responsible for hte mess.)
So please, she’s so very close. If you can afford to, if it will bring you no hardship, please throw a couple bucks at her? She really needs a working computer again, she needs to be able to write her wonderful tales again. I have known this wonderful person for over 20 years… she deserves something to go *good* for her. so much has gone to shit in the past several years. We can make one thing go right… right?

Okay so Blood Elves live in a very warm environment. Eversong looks like it’s in a permanent state of SPRING, so most of the elves in that area are accustomed to warm weather and such. Which means in slightly colder environments the elves end up suffering because good Light they did not bring enough layers with them.
That being said, please imagine someone like Lor’themar, stuck traveling to a place for a meeting with less than fair weather, and he’s sitting there during the entire meeting looking like this

So I work at a video game store in a mall and across the hall from us is this really nice suit shop. One day one of the guys came in an asked if they could use our microwave (the store they used to go to closed down) and we bargined for use of their bathroom in return since the mall bathrooms are like a 5 min trek.
So for like three months now we just have these men in really nice suits come in and talk while using our microwave and teach them about nerdy shit? Then I, the goblin king in various shitty tee shirts and paint stained pants, walk into their super expensive store and just get greeted with “Yo dude what’s good?” and talk about the pains of steaming silken dress shirts properly and it’s my favorite business interaction every day
A new jewelry store opened up right next to our store and when I used the bathroom today we were talking about it. I hate it on principle (they flooded our systems closet during building) and immediately both Suit Guys™ working went on mini rants. “Their suits are baggy as hell, I wouldn’t trust them to sell me a $9,000 ring when they can’t get a fitted jacket. They look so unprofessional, ” and “I saw one of the dude’s wearing a teal shirt. It’s fall, and you go with teal? At least get a color to match your store if you’re gonna ignore the seasons like that, Christ, but teal is awful.”
