So they can recognize if they are being abused and report it

It is simple,and ‘surprisingly’ done in other countries than the USA.

Kindergarten children get books where, toned down to their age, it is explained where babies come from and what adults do to make babies.

There are books for kindergarten kids who explain that some people do touch kids in a way that is only meant for adults.

Because it can hurt kids,and some adults try with sweets, kind words and other gifts to get these touches with kids.

And it is explained how adults guilt kids into keeping silent.

These books show children “This is not okay”

These books show kindergarten kids how what happens to them is not okay…and also not their fault.

These books tell kids that some secrets need to be told.

Five year olds need to be taught about these things, this is how you help to prevent further abuse.

You do not explain it in the same way as a teenager or an adult gets explained things.
It is toned down to a level these kids can understand without getting confused.

This is something child therapists and counselors work with.

So yes, even children who are not yet in the early stages of puberty need to be taught age appropriate about what sex and sexual abuse is.

Which touches are okay and which are not.
