what was the opinion of your headcanon!clan Lavellan about mages (does having one / several was ok for example) – magic in general?

Clan Lavellan never had more than three mages at once – Keeper, First, Second. Couldn’t have more – they roamed in the Free Marches were the Chantry presence and templars are strong.

When Deshanna Istimaethoriel was first sent to Lavellan to become their Keeper she was much the same as many other Dalish mages – in possession of a wealth of wisdom that was not shared with the mundanes of the clan. She was wondering that with the lives the Dalish are forced to lead, would it not be better to share it all, including secrets of magic with non-mages, because when a mage dies, their knowledge would die with them, but ultimately did not really challenge this benevolent, lofty exclusivity.

Back during the time when it was popular to bash Twilight for both legitimate reasons (Edward being borderline abusive to Bella, the whole child grooming plot point in Breaking Dawn, etc.) and not (REAL VAMPIRES DON’T SPARKLE THATS GAY), I saw this meme on Facebook where it was Louis and Lestat from Interview With The Vampire commenting on Edward’s sparkling and making fun of him for being gay.
